Workers in Carve Wood — Which to Hire First
Workers automate your lumber yard so you stop doing everything by hand. Hiring the right ones in the right order is the difference between a slow grind and a snowballing tycoon.
The Best First Hires
Hire in this order for the smoothest curve:
- Apprentice Logger (800) — 0.6x chop, no idle cap. Always hire first.
- Master Logger (4,500) — 1.8x chop. Big early speed leap.
- Sawyer (12,000) — 1.2x chop + carving speed.
- Foreman (18,000) — 2.6x chop +5% per sale. Strongest non-hidden pick.
Worker Roles
- Chopper — cuts trees (Apprentice, Master, Foreman, Rebirth Foreman).
- Carver — runs the carving station (Sawyer, Carving Apprentice).
- Grower — speeds tree regrowth (Arborist).
- Offline — works while you’re away (Trucker).

What to Skip
- Carving Apprentice (C) — only speeds carving; skip unless carving is your bottleneck.
- Trucker (B) — great for offline play, but its 50% rate means it’s not a priority while you’re active.
The Endgame Hire
Rebirth Foreman unlocks only after Rebirth 3 — 4.2x chop and +12% per sale. It’s the strongest worker, and the main reason to push through the rebirth grind.
