Version timelineThe Hollow — Carve Wood joins Roblox's platform-wide Halloween event
Carve Wood is one of the partnered experiences in **The Hollow**, Roblox's platform-wide Halloween event that started October 22, 2026 (rewards stay claimable until November 2). The game title now carries the official **[The Hollow]** suffix on the Roblox app page, and the latest build shipped October 24. Completing the in-game event questline awards an event badge plus **20 event Tickets**, which can be spent on The Hollow event rewards in the event hub (each partnered game pays the same 20 Tickets). In Carve Wood the quest is reached through **The Hollow button** on the right side of the screen: accept the quest, sit through a cutscene, plant the special event seed (about 4 minutes to grow), harvest it, carve a special sword, then enter the portal and beat a simple boss fight. The Spooky Carver badge sat at zero holders on October 20 and has since been unlocked more than 84,000 times (57,431 in the past day alone, per the badges API), matching the event's launch. Community walkthroughs from October 23-24 (Conor3D and several others) confirm the step order.
Dev: the delayed update 'wasn't actually supposed to be scheduled for today'

No date, name or feature list was given, so treat this as a tease only: nothing from it is live, and the October 14 Halloween Haunts & Secrets update is still the current content drop.
Halloween Haunts & Secrets — candy, Halloween Roller and an 18-day calendar
Official Discord #announcements (Kinder, 2026-10-14): the Halloween Haunts & Secrets update is live. Collect **Halloween Candy** from customers, deliveries and trees and spend it at the **Halloween Roller** to discover 7 spooky trees — rollers can be upgraded and limited **Halloween Chips** give extra luck and free pulls. The **Halloween Calendar** runs October 14-31 with 18 daily gifts (play 15 minutes a day for candy, seeds and special items, plus a Coffin Gift on the final day), and 4 **Halloween Gifts** unlock when their countdowns end on November 1. **Sprinkles the Painter** paints your carvings if you feed him Bundles of Candy and can be upgraded to paint faster, and your **Stocker** now has a menu that sends carvings to shelves or the Storage Chest, gives him a break, or hands them to Sprinkles first. Cashiers can hold separate minimum offers for normal customers and for Gold, Rainbow and Alien Frenzy customers. The **Tree Index** was rebuilt with themed pages, 3D previews and discovery rewards that unlock special axes and gadgets (Gravity Coil, Teleporter Device, Mega Tracker). **Friendship Bonds** pay out across 3 days to invited friends including 1,000 Diamonds and a 500X Friendship Frenzy, friends can give or take items from your Storage Chest with separate permissions, and crates have a new opening experience with a reward pool and a summary. Control a Military Halloween leaderboard winners can claim the Warhound tree-chopping shotgun with 66 Halloween Boxes for top placements, and the map gained autumn colours plus a new secret. Nine new badges were registered on October 13-14 (all listed on our badges page), and on October 18 Kinder shared a community video guide to the hidden Secret Grudgula quest inside this update.
